In Palm Desert, California, the local music scene’s legacy is tied to the Desert Rock/Stoner Rock sound that put us on the map but The Flusters bring a new "Dream Surf" sound to the local music scene that's gaining rapid momentum. The Flusters formed in January 2015 in Palm Desert, California. When they came together, all they had were the fragments of broken and busted love songs that rattled around in front man Dougie VanSant’s head for years unfinished. They now have a full album’s worth of material, which they are working to bring to life in the form of two EP's, the first to release fall of 2016.
Influenced by Roy Orbison, Dick Dale, The Beach Boys, The Pixies, The Smiths, The Ventures, Broadcast & Mazzy Star, they have a unique sound that sets them apart from most desert acts.
The Flusters have performed at Coachella Music & Arts Festival, Pappy & Harriet's, The Date Shed, The Hood Bar and Pizza, CV Art Scene Gallery, and many other local venues.
